Wow it has been way too long since I have last blogged. Life in Roseburg has been great. It has been wonderful catching up with my family and making new friends! We had a birthday party for my "little big" brother. He turned 19 and we celebrated with our family friends. I have known the DeMers my whole life and love them alot. They are like extended family! The night of my brother Paul's party it snowed!

Roseburg Update

I have been in Roseburg now for almost two months and I am loving every aspect of it. God is doing many amazing things in the program and in my family. I am falling more and more in love with the program and with our interns. Since moving back home I spent alot of time with my family. I enjoy having girl time with my sister in law and my nieces. I have watched Barbies Diamond Castle over and over again. Wow the life of a 4 year old and a 1 year old is never dull. They are so adorable!!! Kaybie loves making up songs and singing them to me. Teaghan is growing so fast. She is like a little person. Its so fun to watch her personality develop! So overall I am glad I am home!

Generation Interns

Well I am off and running! This was our first week of Generation Interns. I absolutely love the class. We have 7 Interns. Matthew and Sabrina Schlesinger are the directors. Allen and I are the assistant directors. I am loving every moment of it. I moved down to Roseburg three weeks ago and I have been doing great. I miss every one in Maple Valley but loving Roseburg more and more every day. I absloutely love coming into the church every day and being with this great bunch of people! I hope not to go that long with out a post! :)

Moving Home!!!

Hey everyone I know it has been ages since I have last blogged. I have been very busy with wrapping up the GL year. I am officially done with GL. The students graduated two weeks ago. I have had an incredible year with the six girls. My last three years have been marvelous! Then I worked at a Microsft conference this last week. So now my new focus is moving home to Roseburg,Oregon.
These next few weeks I will be very busy working for a friend of mine who is having a wedding at their home. So I will be working at her house every day until I leave. Which brings me to my move home date. I WILL BE MOVING HOME AUGUST 24Th!!!!!!
I am excited to be moving home and getting connected with Garden Valley Christian Assembly and the new program they are starting up: Generation Interns. It will be very exciting to help pioneer a new leadership program. I am working with two of my heroes; Matthew and Sabrina Schlesinger. And as well Allen Hess from last years GL class. I am very expectant for a great year. I am also looking forward to reconnecting with my family! I have two Nieces Kaybie and Teaghan that I need to make up time with and as well as my dad, brothers, and sister in law.
Please keep me in your prayers. The transition is very hard for me. Leaving very good friends and reconnecting with old ones and as well as making new friends and finding my role in this new program. A lot of anxieties but I know that this is where God wants me to be and most of all this is where my heart is. Two physical prayer requests. I need a car and a laptop!!!
So I will keep you all informed as time gets closer and share my new adventures in Roseburg!

Orlando

Well it has been along time since I have last posted. I left at the end of May to work two back to back Microsoft Conferences in Orlando. I was there for a total of three weeks! Very crazy. It was very humid and hot! But I worked alot indoors and I was not able to get a lot of sun! We had the opportunity to go to Universal Studios and Walt Disney world. We are very happy to be home but we are very very busy preparing for GL's Leadership Gala this weekend and VBS next week. So enjoy the pics!

Home Sweet Home!

Well finally after three weeks of Road Trip we are home. We had a great time! I will post pictures here in a few days. But I have to say we had such a wonderful homecoming when we got to the church. We pulled into the church parking lot and there was a prayer service going on and and they all came out to greet us. They were cheering and clapping. We all felt so welcomed. Its good to be back!

Clamming

So Pastor Tom decided that we should take a day off and go clamming. So Clamming we went. We all had to go buy our clamming liscences and we headed out to the coast at 6:00am. We got our instructions from PT out we went. First I must some of us girls went out and bought some cute clamming boots. Brettany and I were so proud of our outfits. Some were bold enough to wear waiters. So we spent about 3 hours pounding the sand for clams. It was crazy. I only walked away with 1 tiny clam. Some people not to mention any names *Janessa* got her limit of 15 possibly more its still under investigation. But we had a great time. Then on Friday night we went over to the Hardebecks and had a clam feast it was fun. And by the way I caught a fish at PT's it was a blast. I got made fun of for not watching the bobbers in the water and I missed a few fish but I redeemed myself by catching a fish.

And just to update everyone GL leaves for Roadtrip to Montana on Thursday. None of us can believe that its that time of year again! Time flies when your having fun!

Womens Retreat and new haircut!!!!

Last weekend was GHCC's annual Womens Retreat. It was a blast. It was at Embassy Suites in Lynwood, Wa. We stayed at a beautiful hotel. Pastor Marcy was our speaker and she did an incredible job. I was asked to take pictures of the church so I have a lot of people pictures. But these ladies are very special ladies in my life. It was an eventful weekend full of swimming, shopping, eating, laughing, and unfortunately being sick! But it was a fun weekend. Terra, Stacia, and Alie

Hey everyone! I wanted to let you know that I am back from Honduras. I had a great time. I took over 400 pictures. So it will be quite a task to sort through all of them so I will be doing that while I am in Roseburg! It was an incredible opportunity to be able to visit Honduras for a second time. We got to see so many amzing things but I will share more when I have pictures. I am off to Roseburg tomorrow until next saturday!!!

Hey everyone I wante to let you all know I leave for Honduras on Wednesday and will be there until March 5th. I am very excited for this adventure! We will be working in the christian school that is in the village that we are staying at. Honduras is like the second poorest country in the world. We are going to bring hope to the people in the village and school. We will be teaching in the school and sharing our testimonies. This is my second trip there. I am very excited. Please keep Generational Leadership in your prayers for our safety in traveling.

I am so excited my dad is coming up this weekend to spend some time with me. We have a father daughter banquet on Friday night. I asked him if he wanted to come up for it and he said yes. I am so thrilled for this weekend it will be great.I will post some pictures of our weekend of going to the father daughter banquet and going to Whidbey Island! Here are some pictures of my dad! Changes

Well I am sure most of you have heard by now. I have been offered a position in Roseburg to help start a internship at a discipleship program at Garden Valley Christian Assembly in Roseburg. So I will be finishing up this year at Generational Leadership and then I will be moving down in hopefully August. Many people are very excited and some people don't understand my decision. Coming from Roseburg I felt like I could not grow there. I felt hopeless.I turned to pain killers and other self harming habbits. I was so depressed..I was living life with out the Lord. I came in contact with Matthew and Sabrina Schlesinger and walked with them. They suggested I come up to Generational Leadership in Maple Valley. So I came to Generational Leadership. I left behind my family, church and great Young Adult Pastors. I thought I would live here forever. I have had three amazing years up here...I feel content and complete :) I truly have met Jesus and He has healed and restored me. I am walking in places of leadership I thought I would never reach. I have first hand experienced the presence of God. And I would not change that for a thing. I have been approached on a couple different times to move home and my immediate reaction was NO! But when Sabrina called and asked me I had such a deep heart change. I had two weeks to decide. Instantly I already knew my answer. I had a meeting with Pastor Tom and I asked him how do I know if I am making the right decision and He told me that I would feel peace about it. I knew then I was moving to Roseburg. I am very hopeful about this. I know that this is God. My whole family has moved away from Roseburg, I have a few friends down there..but things have changed because I have been away for so long. But I know this is the right thing for me to do. I want to be apart of the change in Roseburg. I want to bring hope to Young Adults. So big changes are ahead for me!

I had such a fun New Years. About 30 of us Young Adults from church got together and went to seattle! We had so much fun. We went to Alki beach and ate at Dukes chowder house and then rushed out to go watch the space needle fire works from across the lake. But honestly weren't that great. They kept starting and stopping. But Derek saved the day for the drunk people. He lit a bunch off and got lots of cheers. I think the best part of last night was when we were on our way home. Kyle, Dain, Brettany, Jamee, and I all rode to together. And just about when we got to chris's house we took the guys beanies and we were holding them out the window. I had kyles out the window and brettany pushed it off my hand and his beanie went out the window. Kyle stopped his car in the middle of like a neighborhood intersection. And he told us to go get it. We were laughing so hard we could not get out of the car. And then he gets out of the car and chucks his keys across the street. We were about to wet our pants! Great night! And hey remember

Christmas is almost here

So just a little update. Not much news. We are getting ready for Christmas break. Next week is our last week before break. We are very busy around GL. It's a blast I could not ask for a better job and I work with my best friends. This last weekend we had Matthew and Sabrina Schlesinger speak at church. It was so good to have them up here and spend time with them. Above is Generational Leaderships Christmas picture.

Yesterday morning I woke up to my arm stinging. I was so confused and I realized I slept with the window open. I woke up with snow flakes on my arm and I looked outside and there was about an inch of snow on the ground. And then it all melted away...just like every other time it snows. Then last night it started snowing again. There was enough snow on the ground to build a snow man. So Brie and I went over to our neighbors house, the Walkers. We tried to be so sneaky while we built a snow man for Sean and Stacia. We were half way done when they came out side to let their little puppy out. We had a lot of fun! Then this morning I woke up and there was more snow on the ground. We had about four inches. I had to go to church early for power point. And so Dain, Michelle, and I carpooled together. The roads were really good until we pulled into the church. There was 8 inches of snow and we were stuck in the driveway for about ten minutes. So Michelle and I gave up and just walked the rest of the way. And yet church still went on. Here are the pictures!

A Bad Break

Last night I came back from oregon for Thanksgiving break. I take the train and usually the train has jerky movements and sometimes you lose your balance. I was in the restroom washing my hands and the train came around a corner and I lost my balance. I tried to catch my balance and I hit a hand rail. It hurt alot. So I came off the train with a bent wrist. My good friend Michelle took me to the ER. And she took all of these pictures! And that was my Thanksgiving "break".

Over Thanksgiving I was able to hang out with my three year old niece. We had alot of fun. I forgot how a three year old mind works. We did everything from building blocks to hunting sharks in the grocery store. This video is of her showing me her different emotions. My sister in law and I were laughing so hard when we did this. This week was so much fun. I was able to spend a few days with my brother John and his wife Christin. We spent Thanksgiving in Monmouth. And I will post more pictures as they come. I am currently still with Generational Leadership it is my third year. I am an Intern and I am loving every minute of it, especially because it is a class of all girls. We have had a great time!
